Here it is. A new post.
Friday. And we wanted to stay out late.
"We don't care what we do, we just want to be out late."
We didn't really have a plan, though. So, we looked for free couches on KSL dot com. We found an ad for one a couple of blocks away from us. We drove there. It was gone. And the owner is currently being hospitalized. We're legitimately concerned.
Bottom line: no couch.
We looked for other free couches online, but with no luck. There's a spayed border collie we could go pick up, though. Its name is Killer. You'd think we're making this stuff up.
Because we didn't have a couch of our own, we borrowed a 900 lbs one from our floor lounge. We feel like we earned it, since we carried it down three flights of stairs and into the back of Kim's truck.
Mostly we just wanted to sit on a couch somewhere, but since others were involved we expanded our plan to include baking cookies on the lights at the bell tower. Essential Freshman Experience #142, check. For extra seating, we picked up Nick's couch, too.
We stayed there until around 1:00 am. But we're not bragging. Nick left. We got the couch, sucker.
After hauling our floor lounge couch back upstairs (GIT 'R DUN) and throwing Nick's couch into our room,
we got ready to hike the Y with our chaperon.
Meet Dan.
He was kind enough to accompany us for the rest of the time we stayed out late.
He guided us to "the largest collegiate monument in the world," and also told us what all the people in the parked cars were doing. (see post title)
Provo! This is our city!
Then we went to Plan C. Den Dawgs. Denny's. Duh.
This one was on chaperon Dan.
We saw Steven again,
but he didn't see us.
We returned home at 4:00 am. We didn't need a watch to tell us it was that time. We knew because we couldn't stop laughing at everything. Especially the fact that Dan had a meeting at ten in the morning. Who would schedule that?
We were beyond tired. Like, we couldn't even speak. Or watch Fern Gully. So we watched Kim and Christine dye their hair instead.
It turned out beautifully.
We got into our beds at 4:58 am, fist pumped when the clock struck 5:00, and fell asleep immediately.
Lisa's eye hasn't stopped twitching.
This is hilarious!
