crazy like an ape

Here we are. We're in the Dickson's kitchen, snacking on green giant sugar snap peas, Go-Gurt and blonde brownies, ready to get this blog going again.

Where do we start? It seems like we've had a lot going on, but now we can't really think of anything. So we'll start with today.

We went down to this little bistro called Zupa's in Orem and met up with these hunnies, who we have greatly missed.

They're all doing great. Gap, Humanities, Miss Utah, an "off" room mate. Everything is as it should be.

After our lunch, we ran some errands together. We had to drop off a bunch of rocks at McGee's to be engraved for the Olympus Stake's upcoming pioneer trek, and we saw this from across State street.

Nickel City was calling our name, and there is no place else we would rather be on a Tuesday afternoon. It seems were are about the only people in the world who feel this way, but we enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves.

Ally won 46 tickets, Lisa didn't. That's why Ally is making it rain in that picture.

After we got our prizes - fake fangs, a toy turtle, and frooties - we headed home. On the way, we saw a sign for the Lamb and Wool festival at Thanksgiving point, so we pulled over. Turns out its on Saturday if you're interested. We forgot to say we named the turtle 2-D. Cool, huh.

As far as the rest of our summer goes, it's been greatish. Ally works here:

It's called Millcreek Garden, and as we say, "It's a great day at Millcreek Garden!" It's a great day today, and the next day, and the next day, and the next day. Get it? She's mostly illegal immigrant/migrant worker status, but she's moving up. And by moving up we mean they wrote her name on a pair of scissors yesterday. Within five years she'll be running that place.

As for Lisa, she's been doing a lot of things around the house. Ally brings home the bacon, and Lisa cooks it. She didn't end up getting a job in the Beehive state, but it worked out splendidly. This is perfect opportunity to make an announcement of sorts. Lisa is going to nanny in Boston for eight weeks this summer! She just has to learn how to drive a stick shift and she's set. No cooking, no cleaning, just one on one time with the children. It will be like The Sound of Music meets Super Nanny.

And this is also the time to make another couple of announcements. Beginning June 4th, we won't see each other for more than six months. That's sad. But long live We Have A Blog. We will always have a blog. Let's face it.

It's also exciting though, because we're having adventures. We're going global, even more than that time some Chinese girls came to our grilled cheese party. We're going to do some studying abroad. Lisa is going to London, and Ally is going to India. Hare Krishna, tea. Cheers!

  4. Looks like you girls are having way too much fun. I am so happy that you have such exciting plans come August. I will watch for your blogs in India and Boston. Quite a variance of cultures, I would say. Grandma VERDA
