Collectively we had great Thanksgivings, thanks for asking. Lisa went to LP (Lake Powell) and Ally went to the EMT (East Milcreek Township). We just saved time by using acronyms. That's efficiency.
Ally was in charge of making the yams for Thanksgiving dinner because "nobody likes them anyway, so it's okay if you mess them up." Yep. They turned out great even though comments like "I think the world would be fine without yams. Maybe even better off" or "Ew. Why do people insist on serving these?" were said by various family members as the plate was being passed around the table. Setting the table, filling the water glasses, and making ice cream cone cornucopias are still the best dinner party chores out there. Some other Thanksgiving highlights were resurrecting Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat from the Morgan's dusty CD binder, seeing the lights at Temple Square, watching most of The Amazing Race-Season 1 again, and running the Human Race - not literally controlling the entire population, just participating in a 5K.
Lisa forgot to take her normal coat to Lake Powell, and it was cold. She enjoyed hiking in a peacoat, though. It's probably an experience everyone should have. Or not. Whatever. The Dicksons ate a real turkey, said Navajo a lot, and Lisa came back to DJ Hally Hall with a new tube of Cherry Dr. Pepper chapstick that automatically makes her a little cooler than Ally. She and her family also enjoyed attending many places that took pride in being so close to a large structure that blocks water, such as: The Dam Bar and Grill, and The Dam Bowling Alley. It was a ton of "dam" fun. It also turns out that Lisa is bad at games, but she did reach her bowling goals. She broke a seventy in both games played. That's what's up.
